Small Town Saturday: Lawrenceburg

There isn’t much I love more than a small town Saturday in Tennessee. Nothing says welcome

to our sweet, southern town like a thriving & hopping town square. I believe we are truly

blessed in Middle Tennessee to be surrounded by some of the best squares and Lawrenceburg,

Tennessee doesn’t disappoint. Lawrenceburg is a neighboring city to my hometown of Pulaski, so I have spent many Saturdays traveling west to shop and eat. As with any city over the years, they have

grown and added many great places to shop & even better places to eat. We are doing a lot of

shopping on this trip, so grab a girlfriend, your mom, your kiddo or bestie, or just enjoy a selfcare

day. Let’s Go to Lawrenceburg!

First Stop: Coffee

We are going to need all the fuel. Plus, who doesn’t love a sweet treat on a Saturday morning. Check out Allie Grace Bakery located at 2506 HWY 43 North to start your day!

Let's go shopping

Goodwill

Now time to do some damage. First stop, let’s go to Goodwill in Lawrenceburg located at 1604 N Locust Avenue Suite A. Have you checked out random Goodwills? The Tik Tok trend of thrifting has been filling my feed and I have been loving checking out each town’s Goodwill. You will be surprised at what you can find! I found three pair of shoes with the tags and barely worn Bailey Boys pants for my boys in the Lawrenceburg Goodwill lately.

Marshalls

While we are in the area, you might as well stop at Marshalls located at 2008 N Locust Avenue. This is fairly new to Lawrenceburg and is now the main reason I keep the roads hot between Pulaski and

Lawrenceburg. It is a little smaller than your standard Marshalls or TJ Maxx but full of goodness nonetheless.

Shopping on the square

Next, head to the Lawrenceburg square and get ready to walk around! There are some of the

cutest shops around their lawn, from boutiques to antiques, baby, gift and home. We are going to

start at my favorite and work around to the left from there. (left if you are standing and looking

at the front of the building).

Resplendent Boutique

A women's clothing boutique located at 14 Public Square.

Miss Millies

Your one stop shop for all things gifts located at 12 Public Square.

Holland's Drug

Located at 11 Public Square next to Miss MIllie's, Holland's Drug has a pharmacy and gift selection.

Lawrenceburg Mercantile

A local favorite with different booths from sellers, located at 119 N MIlitary Avenue.

The Company: ALYco + Roo & Co Boutique

A women's boutique located at 117 North Military Avenue

Gigi’s Boutique

With options for children’s clothing and accessories, Gigi's Boutique is located at 42 Public Square.

Paper & Thread

The cutest options for cards, stationary and so much more located at 106 N Military Avenue.

Let's grab some lunch!

Let’s take a lunch pit stop. There are several eateries to get your fixings, but in today’s itinerary,

we are going to The Pie Factory. Originating in Florence, Alabama area, the Lawrenceburg

Public Square is home to their fourth location. I love pizza with a side Caesar salad to kick start

my energy in the afternoon & since we are already on the square, it’s a must!

Amish Country

If you still have a little time, let’s take a ride through Amish Country. It is technically in Ethridge,

but still Lawrence County. My granddaddy did a decent amount of business with the Amish

community so I have been visiting the area since I was young. I am and have always been

fascinated by their culture. During the spring and summer, you can stop by and shop their

goodies. They have some of the best vegetables I have ever eaten and the prettiest of flower

varieties! They sell pumpkins and mums in the fall, and you can always find some of the best

crafted furniture. They do offer tours, be sure to visit the site below for more information.

Regardless if you shop, do a tour, or just ride through, the scenery is beautiful & if you have a

little in tow, it’s a great teaching moment.Located on both the east & west sides of Highway 43 North. It is home to the largest Amish community in the southern United States. Learn more here.

Fill up the rest of your day

Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club

I love a full day, if I was on a date day, I would reward the hubby for hanging on with all the

shopping & be his cart buddy at the Lawrenceburg Country Club for a quick 9 holes of golf. I will

gladly take the walking break & enjoy all the views.

Crockett Cinemas

If you didn’t come with a date and have a little in tow, let’s go see a movie at 2128 N Locust Avenue. They recently renovated Crockett Cinemas. It is so nostalgic to me. A movie theater that has survived the times, it feels like what our grandparents called “the good ole days.”

King Pin Lanes

Another option is to go bowling at KingPin Lanes located at 321 Crews Street next to Strikers Steakhouse. We recently took our three and two year old and they loved it.

Dinnertime!

1819 The Restaurant

Finally, let’s end with a little dinner. I recently tried the new steakhouse, 1819 The Restaurant, on the square and it was awesome! I loved the vibe. It felt like a little Nashville or Memphis, but close to home and the food was super yummy. Plus, the staff was GREAT which I think is a little hard to come by these days. Grab a drink, get a great entrée, and enjoy dessert before ending home.
